testimony
Growing up in a loving family who went to church often, I never related to practicing "religion".
I became "independent" and I chose the rebellious path well into my adult years. One might say, I was on the Highway to Hell and I was in the fast lane.
On Christmas Eve 1996, I attended a church service, on the invitation from a friend, instead of hitting the saloon with my buddies. The Pastor "Steve" preached simple sermon about a Child who was given to us. Now I have heard the story many times before, but this time, it shook me to the core. Imagine, because God Loved us, He sent His Son Jesus to lower Himself into the constraints of time and humanity. He become one of us in order to pay the ransom price for my sin. I struggled with what this really meant this for several weeks and then I repented and gave my life to Christ, surrendering to Him as Lord and King.
My life has never been the same.
